Many services provided by KU Information Technology require an account (username and password) to use the service. The KU Online ID gives you access to most online services. Following are links to the online registration pages or form downloads needed to request these accounts. Most accounts are available for the KU community (students, staff, and faculty) but a few are restricted as noted.

Set up a KU Online ID
Your KU Online ID gives you access to most online services. If you are a new user, click here to set up your KU Online ID, set up your password challenge questions and create your password.

- Manage Passwords
Change your password for your KU Online ID (email, Blackboard, Kyou portal, etc.). Passwords may be changed any time but you must change your password every 210 days. KU Password Policy. - Add Online
Services to an existing KU Online ID
Set up personal web space, register your non-KU email address or set up email aliases.
NOTE: New students and staff are not able to sign up for email and personal web storage services until they are enrolled/employed. - Manage Email Aliases
Create, change, or delete personal @ku.edu aliases. - Manage Privacy Settings
Update what information you would like to be available to the public. - View Directory Listing
View your information listing as it should appear in People Search.
- Email Accounts
Departmental Email Accounts may be requested by downloading and completing the Email Account Request Form. More information.
Departmental Resource Account is used for rooms or equipment scheduling. Account my be requested by downloading and completing the Resource Account Request Form.
ListProc Accounts can be created for email discussion lists for both KU and non-KU participants. More info...
