The Student Guide to Evaluating Information Technology on Campus

Introduction

Choosing a college or university is one of the most important decisions a family can make. As information technology becomes increasingly important in our daily lives, prospective students and parents are looking more closely at the way colleges and universities provide and support technology resources for their students. To assist in this process, EDUCAUSE, in cooperation with the National Association for College Admission Counseling and the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, recently developed a consumer's guide to evaluating information technology on campus.

The Guide to Evaluating Information Technology on Campus provides a series of questions designed to help prospective students and their parents understand how a particular institution uses information technology in daily campus life.

The University of Kansas is pleased to participate in this effort to provide information by making available our responses to the questions posed in the EDUCAUSE Guide. We hope this information will assist students and parents interested in KU evaluate our use of information technology and how that use might fit their needs and interests.
