Web Design and Implementation: KU Web template

Web design or redesign services include

  • Analysis of content, audience, use, etc. of existing web site(s).
  • Identification of key content (existing or new).
  • Conversion of existing materials and creation of new pages in the KU Web template (see http://www.ku.edu/site/how/ for more details).
  • Site mockup for early evaluation by client and/or users.
  • Staff training in Dreamweaver to maintain and add to the site following completion of the project.
  • Ongoing technical support for Dreamweaver and site structure by phone or scheduled appointment.

Requirements

The completed web site will be hosted on KU central web servers. Department commits to providing a contact person for the project who will
  • Provide or revise necessary content.
  • Act with authority to approve design and direction of the site.
  • Identify departmental staff to maintain site or enter into a maintenance agreement.
  • See the project to its end in a timely manner.

Cost of Service

$600 per site*
* If the scope of the conversion exceeds a standard departmental site, additional hours will be estimated at the beginning of the project at $30 per hour. Web site conversion does not include web database integration or extensive application development/programming.
