KU IT Training
KU IT offers free training sessions throughout the year to help faculty, staff, and students use a variety of software packages more effectively. We have regularly-scheduled workshops that are open to anyone, as well as group sessions or individual consultations that can be customized to meet your needs.
KU IT Training offers sessions in several formats:
- Workshops – Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend trainings located at various campus labs throughout campus. For a complete list of workshops, browse our workshop listing or view the workshop calendar for upcoming, scheduled workshops.
- Deskside Coaching – Meet with a KU IT Trainer and receive customized, one-on-one assistance based on your needs.
- Customized training for departments – Departments can request customized training for their staff. Sessions might range from a one-time workshop to a multi-session training series. This training can take place at the department’s office space, or a training lab can be reserved for the session. - Course-specific Training for Students – KU IT Trainers are also available to teach one-time or multi-session trainings on specific software which are required knowledge for a specific class or assignment.
