Streaming Media

KU Information Technology provides access to a tool called Kaltura, which delivers live or recorded streaming audio and video that can be embedded in a web site and/or accessed on-demand through Blackboard. Kaltura integrates with Blackboard to make it easier to compose and deliver video content to students.

Please note that this service is only a delivery mechanism, not a permanent storage location. Be sure to store your original uncompressed audio or video elsewhere.

What would you like to do?

Transition from Sorenson 360

Content on Sorenson 360, accessed through Blackboard, will be available only through the current academic year (2011-12). Any content needed past Spring 2012 must be moved to Kaltura.

If you have content on Sorenson 360 that needs to be moved, please contact KU IT Blackboard Support at 864-2600 or blackboardsupport@ku.edu. KU IT staff will assist you with moving that content.

Transition from Merlin

If you have video content on Merlin that you want to keep, please contact KU IT Customer Service Center at 864-8080 or itcsc@ku.edu. KU IT staff will provide assistance to move your content to Kaltura.
